At Nurturing Knowledge School, we work intentionally to center the unique qualities and needs of each child, while cultivating a strong sense of community. Thoughtfully and with purpose, we come together to foster a classroom culture where teachers, children, and caregivers feel a deep sense of belonging, and are free to express themselves fully and authentically.

Community, safety, and awareness are the cornerstones of a successful learning environment within our Reggio framework. In Preschool, there may arise tender yet teachable moments, as children learn to navigate a new and complex social environment. Our teaching teams encourage children to express their emotions and to advocate for their own needs, while keeping safety paramount.

In our inclusive environment, you might observe behaviors different from those of your own child, or you might witness such accommodations as in-class aides for children who benefit from more one-on-one support. To deepen resources for these diverse social and emotional classroom needs, we are adding a partnership with STEPS—a local Applied Behavior Analysis therapy group—to our toolkit.

ABA experts will collaborate with teachers to broaden our array of support strategies, acknowledge each child’s developmental process, and elevate every learning journey. Our parents and caregivers are also an important part of this compassionate learning environment … we cannot foster a sense of inclusivity, belonging, and safety without you. We are grateful for your open communication, trust, understanding, and commitment to the well-being of all our children.

Together, we can create a powerful community where everyone feels accepted and valued!
