After School Site Supervisor
Nurturing Knowledge School is seeking an energetic, compassionate and proactive team leader to act as a Site Supervisor with our After School program, available onsite at both Loyal Heights Elementary and Greenwood Elementary.
School Age Supervisor Hours:
Monday-Friday after school, approx. 28 hours weekly (more hours available in our Preschool program if desired).
Daily Experience:
- Collaborate with our Directors to deepen team members’ skills and confidence in serving children with behavioral, social-emotional, and other support needs.
- Provide direct classroom support to maintain teacher-to-child ratios while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Lead team members kindly and confidently, providing direction while remaining approachable and collaborative.
- Mentor in lesson planning, helping to create unique and inspiring curricula.
- Support families through parent conferences as needed.
We Seek:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to respectfully navigate a variety of conversations with children, parents, teachers and community members
- Strong behavior management skills with an understanding of the importance of social-emotional learning, emotional regulation, and connection over correction
- Enthusiasm and genuine joy in working, playing, and engaging with children
- Two (2) or more years experience working with children ages 5-12 and their families
- At least 21 years of age, with an ECE, CDA, or Bachelor’s degree in related field, with 45 ECE credits
- Willingness to clear a Washington State criminal background check
- CPR/First Aid Certification
